Hello Penny, Thank you for your E.mail just received and glad to tell you that NuNu if fine and settled in well. We went up on Saturday morning, met John and Vicky who seemed very friendly and nice and then went in search of the little man. He knew us immediately! - I think he heard our voices as we were going through all the gates etc. before we got to the quarrantine section. He was sitting on the stool provided for him waiting and watching for us. We of-course received a lovely welcome from him . We are both very impressed with the kennel set up there - Extremely clean, wooden floors spacious kennels High ceilings very airy and sunny. The animals have some sort of electric blankets in their beds so they sleep comfy and warm when it is chilly. We could both stand straight up in the kennel in one half and the other half was divided in two - The top for the bedroom section and downstairs for the sandbox and a blanket and toys He has unfortunately put on an extreme amount of weight whilst with my cousin and I asked them to put him on a diet straight away - hopefully he will shed some of the weight before he comes home.Other-wise he is healthy and fit. Thank you once again for all your hard work to get him here safe and sound for us - Everything went like clock-work and we are very grateful that the worst is now over for him We will go up to Auckland to see him on a weekly basis and look forward to getting him home. His date for release is the 28th January 2011. Will let you know when that happens! Regards and thanks once again Penny and Poul Mikkelsen. AUCKLAND - NEW ZEALAND |
